Classification and location
Each machine has its class, its site and the person who holds it.
For companies that own, hire out or run machines. Register each machine and its owner, log its hours and defects, plan its maintenance, bill hire and haulage from the records, and post the costs to the ledger.

Every machine has one record: its classification, where it sits and who holds it. Owners are registered with the organisation, so each machine links to its owner.
Each machine has its class, its site and the person who holds it.
Owners are registered with the organisation, and each machine links to its owner.
A machine-hours record keeps the hours each machine has run.
Operators log each day from the field, and managers see the month in the office.
An excavator logs 9.5 hours on Monday. The nightly compile adds them to the month's usage, and the utilisation dashboard shows the result.
Record defects and inspections against the machine, plan the services that fall due, and open a work order for each job, with its parts, downtime and warranty.
A safety defect tags the machine out. A tagged-out machine cannot be dispatched, and only a manager can release it.
Dispatch checks each job before a machine leaves. Hire is billed from the timesheet the customer confirms, and trips roll into a draft billing run.
Each machine has a cost card, fleet overhead sits beside the machine results, and owners are settled from the same records.
Operators see what their job needs, managers decide, and every change is on record.
An operator sees its own machines, logs and defects, and never money or rates.
Only a manager releases a tag-out.
Changes to machines, orders and settlements are recorded in the audit log.
