Distribution and wholesale in BYTE: orders, stock and tax on every line

For companies that buy in volume and sell to many customers. A customer order reserves its stock, dispatch issues the tax invoice, and each line keeps its own tax code in the ledger.

Illustration of a customer order: each line reserved with its own tax code, and the tax invoice issued at dispatch. BYTE is coming soon, so this is not a screenshot.

What it covers

  • Customer orders with reserve, pick and dispatch. The tax invoice is issued at dispatch.
  • Quotations and customer purchase orders, before the goods leave.
  • Purchase orders received in full or in part, with a goods-received bridge to the ledger.
  • Tax codes on each line of an invoice, bill and order, so goods at different rates are taxed line by line.
  • Aging and statements by customer, with payment terms, instalments and early-payment discounts.
  • Bills, batch payment runs and allocation of each payment to its invoices.
  • Credit notes, debit notes, refunds and supplier returns.
  • Several warehouses and branches, with statutory invoice numbers for each branch.

How it works

  1. Start with a quotation or a customer order. BYTE reserves the stock for an order.
  2. Pick and dispatch. The tax invoice is issued at dispatch, with the tax code of each line.
  3. Receive supplier goods in parts against a purchase order. Each receipt is bridged to the ledger.
  4. Pay suppliers in batches, collect from customers against their invoices, and follow the aging.
