HR and payroll in BYTE

Payroll software that understands local rules. Run payroll each month, print bilingual payslips, and export the salary file your bank expects.

Last updated: 27 October 2026

What it covers

  • Employee records, with ID documents and an expiry view for documents that are close to expiring.
  • Monthly payroll runs. Each run creates immutable payslips and one accrual journal, posted to each employee's branch.
  • Bilingual payslips in Arabic and English, printed or as PDF.
  • Jordan pack: income tax and social security.
  • UAE pack: pension contributions and end-of-service.
  • Salary files for the bank: a WPS file for the UAE, and a bank file for Jordan.
  • Attendance and leave, and a self-service page where each employee sees their own payslips.
  • Final settlement when an employee leaves, including end-of-service.

How it works

  1. Set up each employee with their pay components and accounts.
  2. Run payroll for the month, review the run, and post it to the ledger.
  3. Print or send the payslips, and export the salary file for the bank.

Not built yet

  • Paying suppliers and remittances from payroll is planned.
  • Year-to-date withholding and tax certificates are planned.
  • Income tax on final settlements is planned.
  • Pension rates for GCC countries other than the UAE are not set up yet.
  • Very large payroll runs in parts are planned.
